FORT ERIE (November 13, 2024) - The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a 72-hour strike notice to Canada Post which may result in a postal service interruption as early as Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12:01 a.m.
The Town of Fort Erie recommends preparing for any disruptions that may occur. Residents are encouraged to make themselves aware of alternative options for interacting with the Town.
Property owners are still responsible for payment of amounts owing. If a strike is in progress, please do not attempt to mail your payment.

The Town’s procurement processes will continue throughout a potential Canada Post labour disruption. Procurement closing times/dates will not be extended.
