The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has taken strike action which started on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. This is a national service disruption that will likely cause a large backlog even when the two sides finally reach an agreement to end the strike.
The Town of Fort Erie recommends preparing during these disruptions. Residents are encouraged to make themselves aware of alternative options for interacting with the Town.
The nationwide service disruption at Canada Post may delay your bill. It’s important to stay on top of bill payments, ensuring your bills are paid by the due date. Property owners are still responsible for payment of amounts owing. While the strike is in progress, please do not attempt to mail your payment.
