Fort Erie Town Council is seeking public feedback on the 2023-2026 Corporate Strategic Plan

FORT ERIE (July 26, 2023) – On July 24, 2023, the Town of Fort Erie Council unveiled their draft 2023-2026 Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP) that identifies priorities that will lead the municipality over the next four years. The draft CSP includes six key pillars and 27 specific "strategy to actions" that will help to meet the objectives of each of the following:

Sustainable, Reliable Access to Local Health Care
Quality of Life and Community Well-Being
Sustainable and Managed Growth
Economic Prosperity and Diversification
Environmental and Climate Change Resiliency
Comprehensive Housing Options

Council also developed a new Vision Statement, "Fort Erie: A community for everyone." Each Strategic Objective statement begins with "A community …" which ties in with the Vision Statement and what we want our community to be.

We encourage the public to provide feedback on the draft Plan through an online survey from July 26 to August 11, 2023. (The public survey closed August 11)

They have worked with our senior staff to create a progressive Plan that will guide the Town over the next four years," stated Mayor Wayne Redekop. "The Plan builds on our previous successes and ongoing work with community partners. Significant emphasis has been placed on health care, managing growth, job creation and implementing strategies to address impacts to the natural environment".

"This Strategic Plan is an important document that highlights the key priorities of Council and operational actions required to leverage emerging opportunities and address the community's needs. We welcome community input on the draft plan," stated Chris McQueen, Town CAO.

The public is encouraged to review the Plan and have a say in the community's future.
