Playground Equipment Replacement

Playground equipment typically has a life cycle of 15  years, after which replacement is scheduled. Fort Erie playgrounds are designed in consultation with the local community through a “Dot-mocracy” process, whereby playground users participate in identifying their favourite playground features. Playground designs are also reviewed by the Fort Erie Accessibility Advisory Committee, to ensure inclusivity and accessibility, and compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

The playground equipment at Stevensville Mini Park is currently planned for replacement in the spring of 2020.
