About the 13 for 13 Cultural Event:

From August 6 to 21, 2022, Niagara will be hosting the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games. The Canada Summer Games is the first high-level multi-sport event experience aimed to develop Canadian athletes into future Olympians. The Niagara Region will welcome more than 5,000 participants (including athletes, coaches, and support staff) to compete in the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.

One initiative from the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games is the 13 For 13 Cultural Festival.

Held on select evenings between August 7 to 20, 2022, the 13 For 13 Cultural Festival will see each of Niagara's 13 municipalities collaborate with one of Canada's 13 provinces and territories to highlight the unique cultural heritage, entertainment, art, and culinary experiences of each pairing during their assigned special evening. Each event is open and free to the general public.

The Town of Fort Erie has been paired with the Province of Nova Scotia.

In support of the 2022 Canada Summer Games, Fort Erie's 13 For 13 Cultural Event will celebrate the history, arts, culture, food, music, sport, and Indigenous heritage of both Fort Erie and Nova Scotia.
